Home CCTV Legality
Can I just put up a camera on the front of my house looking towards the entrance to my drive or do I need permission. I'm thinking along the lines of data protection act rather than planning etc. The camera will also cover the side of my neighbours house and he is a bit of a problem neighbour. This is part of the reason…

I've done something horrible to my washer!
I have a Hotpoint Ultima washer which is 14 months old. I've just been stupid enough to wash what I thought was a washable doormat in it. There's hundreds of bits of rubber now and my washer won't empty. I rang the service people as I couldn't find the filter. Apparently there isn't one! so an engineer has to come out and…

Argos summerhouse... easy to erect?
I'm not too bad at easy DIY, I built my own 4 m x 2.4 m decking last year, but need some advice about erecting a summerhouse. I wondered how easy the Argos summerhouses are to put together. I'm guessing they'd have the step-by-step, flat pack instructions just like putting a wardrobe together. My problem is, I guess, is…

replacing old rad with towel version in bathroom
I did place this in the utilities forum by mistake - basically my mum has a large rad that's been in her bathroom over 20 years & she wants to change it for a more streamlined chrome towel radiator (not towel warmer) - I understand that we need to work out the btu output needed to warm the bathroom so we know what size to…

Buying a sofa/suite
We are currently looking to buy new livingroom furniture. We have visited a few big name companies such as ScS, DFS etc and have been told that if we we pay cash (credit card included in this definition) then we could be entitle to a discount on the sale price.
