Ikea. Do you?
I'm reliably informed by the lovely Mrs Robinson (Here's to you) that I will shortly be buying a new kitchen. I have an excellent and reliable multi-skilled guy who will do all the fitting etc. Looking over the threads, I get the general impression that IKEA are perhaps the best overall choice for the basic kitchen items,…

Fitting second hand conservatory
I've been offered my friend's 'right angle' conservatory that she is getting rid of because they are demolishing their bungalow (to allow access to new builds on the fields behind the house). I would fit the conservatory at the back of the bungalow I'm just in the process of buying. There are 2 walls at right angles to…

louvre doors
My flat has loads of louvre doors, the open louvre rather than the closed kind. The darling builders decided that it would be nice to varnish them without sanding them first so now I have loads of dust which sticks agreeable to the rough louvre. What type of tradesman would you ask to rebuild a patio?
We want to rebuild our patio but don't really know if this is more likely to be a job for a garden landscaper or a builder or which would be the most likely to get the best result. It is next to the house and raised approx a foot above the garden level. The length nearest the garden sits on a brick wall and the current…

Unfortunately the paint is now blistering and bubbling, I'm not sure why as we made sure the paint was suitable for bathrooms. We have to repaint, but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again.…
