Help to Buy question
Hi I'm looking at buying my first house this year through the HTB scheme. Just wondering how the deposit works. So say for instance the house is £330,000, I get 20% from the government which then brings the house down to £264,000. Do I then pay 5% deposit on the 264000 figure? Or do I pay 5% on the 330000? Just trying to…

William H Brown 'financial verification checks'
Hi all, We made an offer for a house today and were eventually told that, despite a second bidder in the mix, we are the vendor's preferred buyer 'subject to financial verification checks' made by William H Brown's in-house mortgage advisor. It sounds fishy to me. We have an agreement in principle through our own trusted…

I'm considering selling a house I own at auction. The house doesn't have a kitchen and therefore suitable for a buyer who doesn't need a mortgage.
