New buy to let tax on low income
Can anyone confirm that if my intention from property is to replace my wages, which is about £2k a month, with rental income, then will the tax changes affect me? My aim is 2-3 properties about £800 percent each, as I have more rental income I plan to work less hours. So will the tax affect me if I never plan to enter the…

I need to do plumbing work in my leasehold flat- freeholder v. unhelpful
We are refurbishing our leasehold flat and the work has been dragging on for months now due to the freeholder being extremely uncooperative. (The freeholder is our local council and their duties are performed by an ALMO- and yes, we have done all the usual, time consuming rounds of going to the local councillor, MP etc).…

Estate Agent Choice
As most people look at Rightmove these days, does it really matter which EA you have? (I know to negotiate fees, good pics etc) But as long as you have good pics that is what gets the viewings surely? Just that there is a wide range of choice but as someone looking at property I only look at RM and Zoopla (not EA websites)

We need legal representation (Renters)
My partner and I moved into a flat in March and from day 1 we were surrounded by undisclosed building work (causing both immense noise and damage to our flat) and horrible damp problems, and later on, threatening emails from someone claiming to be speaking on behalf of the landlord. After several months of complaining we…

Hello, I am currently in the process of buying a Victorian 2 bed terrace. Letters from previous occupiers - with a twist
Hi, We purchased our house a year ago, previously it was rented out for quite some time.
