No Loft Access -suspicious or normal?
Hi, We're in the middle of buying a house and are just awaiting the valuation + homebuyers survey. It's a terraced house in east london and has recently had a new roof as there were some issues. Is it worth getting planning permission when you plan to sell?
I've got plenty of room to the side of my property to extend - should be able to build a two storey side extension (5m x 9M footprint). Shouldn't be an issue with neighbours - the only neighbour is 30 feet to the one side. Three bed to five bed. Basically just a bog standard side extension. Just wondering if it's worth…

Is it possible to change conveyancer?
Ok, the quick and dirty version of events here. We have had a mortgage offer agreed with the Halifax for the house that we are purchasing. Somewhat foolishly, I let myself be talked by the EA into using their conveyancer, one of these 'at a distance' cheap affairs. So far they have lost our paperwork for authority,…

Transferring ownership from joint to sole.
This might be an easy question to answer but I do not know so here goes: I jointly own a house which has had it's mortgage paid off. If we wanted to transfer ownership to only one of us, is this something that can be done without the assistance of solicitors(i.e. going to the Land Registry direct)?

Its been 2 months since we made our offer on a house and we were expecting to move in end of May. Breaking tenancy early
Hi, Any rental experts out there? I have a property currently let. We're 8 months into a 12 month tenancy and the tenant has decided they want to leave. As I say, it's a 12 month tenancy which had a 6 month break clause. My understanding is that the tenancy could be broken at the 6 month mark, but at no other time. The…

When is it the right time to decide when to pull out?
How do you know when its the right time to pull out of a deal or do you just hang in there. To cut to the chase, I am a first time buyer, went to see a flat in a part of London back in Jan, really liked it, put in an offer which was 1k lower then asking price, got accepted in Jan. I had my mortgage completed and offer sent…
