Buying a house with a crack in the wall, serious? (Picture)
This problem is a bit beyond my basic DIY knowledge, but would anyone know if this crack that is filled is likely to be something serious like subsidence or something more superficial? Basically I'm buying a property and it has this crack running up the outside wall, I've question the vendors but have only been told that…

Unreadable covenent..
We have a covenent on our property - btu the 'version' provided by land registry- is unreadable -it was written in 1855.. is blury - and is incomplete (its 7 pages but starts mid sentence?) Anyway soliciter said it would probably come down to having an indemntiy policy on it - but who pays for that - us, the vendor, or who?

Administration Fees
£200 is the charge from the estate agents from the place in Manchester I'm thinking of going with. That's actually at the lower end of charges, because they don't charge a check out fee. Is there any method I can use to negotiate lowering it though? Is it common to get the admin fee lowered? I was thinking maybe of saying…

We have just had a survey done on property we had offered on and was told that property was a Wimpey no fines. We don't want to proceed with that sale but wondered if Estate agent is supposed to disclose anything like…

Lazy Landlord - how do I cover my bottom?
Basically the landlord of this property doesn't care. He didn't care about the previous tenant, he does absolutely nothing. This is fine, because nothing has gone wrong. However I signed a 6 month contract. The contract did not state what happens after 6 months, and the 6th month is the end of this month. I contacted him…

FTB - getting details of the lease
Quick question (I hope). Most of the properties we're looking at are leasehold rather than freehold because we're in London and our budget mostly covers flats rather than houses. On this site I've seen mentions of getting details of a lease from the land registry for a few quid. Would this be a copy of the lease showing…
