Want to sell but our roof is leaking
We want to put our house up for sale but the roof is leaking. About once or twice a year when it rains heavy, the rain drips into the corner of our bedroom. We've had a look on the roof but can't see where it's coming from, there's no obvious hole. The problem is we really can't afford to have it fixed so what do we do?

I am worried we are going to lose out on the house…

Under offer and terminology
I'm just curious to know why some agents use the term "under offer" while others use the term "sold - subject to contract". I'm asking in relation to a commercial property I seen. Are there many reasons, apart from a buyer pulling out, that a deal would not go through? I gather the term "under offer" is used so that the…

2008 the year of UK subprime?
Why is it that the UK always seems to be a year behind the US? With 1.4 million UK mortgages expected to be in the same position…
