Solar Panels And Electric Boilers
Just a (hopefully) quick question. If considering having solar panels fitted, is it worth thinking about converting (or rather.. replacing) an existing gas combi boiler that feeds the central heating radiators etc with an electric unit, or are the cost differences outweighed? I really have no Idea, but this seems like a…

Electronic Water Filter
I have tried this in the In My Home section without a single response. You guys on here strike me as being folk who would look into a solution to a hard water problem, and a greener version of the salt-based water softener might be what I am trying to describe below. I have heard of reverse osmosis but wonder if there are…

Solar panels included in house purchase, how to get payments?
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help..... I bought a house in January which has 10 solar panels fitted in the garden, the person I bought from owned the panels outright. This is confirmed by my solicitor, hence the panels now belong to me as they were included in the house purchase. However, I don't have any paperwork for them…

Solar iBoost - turning off
Does anyone know if there's a way of turning it off I guess I'm being eco-friendly to the extreme but if we go away for a week then there's no point diverting excess electric to the immersion when it could be used by the grid. Obviously, I could just filp the immersion switch but would I then lose the data it stores?

PVOutput - Idiot's Guide for auto-uploading required

Immersion heater faulty (probably). Is my logic correct?
My ongoing problem is continuing. My initial thoughts were that the thermostat was defective, given the ominous black burn mark on the casing that had melted it. However, changing it has not remedied my problem, so this is leading me to believe it is a defective immersion element..... I have tested for resistance and get…

Taxation - New powerstations, or Free appliances ?
Hi All A little fun to get the brain working ....
