Solar iBoost - turning off

Does anyone know if there's a way of turning it off

I guess I'm being eco-friendly to the extreme but if we go away for a week then there's no point diverting excess electric to the immersion when it could be used by the grid.

Obviously, I could just filp the immersion switch but would I then lose the data it stores?

Get your screw driver out and disconnect the live wire from the junction box? One wire, 3 screws (2 to expose the connections and 1 to disconnect the live to stat wire)

Please remember to turn the box off from the mains befor you attempt this as death may result if you fiddle with live electricty!!!

Thanks for the suggestion but I think I'll just flip the immersion switch and take the chance that I lose the data ;-)

Just got an email from Marlec:

If you switch off the solar iBoost it will not lose its data.

Alternatively, remove the batteries from the sender, or disconnect the CT clamp from the live cable (suggest taking photo of location and orientation to ensure it goes back as before)

    Hope this helps others.
