XE.com
Has anyone else had problems using this service, and if so, how did you get your money back. Over a week ago I tried to make a foreign currency payment to Spain through their service. The payment was put on hold as I was traveling and not in the UK when I tried to make the payment, and their site picked up on this - fair…

Flights to South East Asia
Hi all, Once again I’m returning to my beloved home, or at least it once was, in Malaysia this summer. Long story short I was born in Thailand as my parents worked out there and went to boarding school in Malaysia for a couple of years. We’re having a sort of reunion gathering in August which I am co-organising. Last time…

Flight advice
Hello all. I am a 48 year old UK male. I would like to go to Colombia in June this year, after leaving my rented accommodation and putting my possessions at a family member's home. I hope to begin doing voluntary work as a means to know the country better. In August the school year starts for private schools. I'm a primary…

SIXT rental car scuffed alloy
I recently hired a small car from Sixt at Nice for 4 days and unfortunately i managed to scratch one of the alloy rims when parking (4-5cm). Upon return of the car they marked it and told me they will email how much it cost to repair and will charge on my credit card. It is the first time this happened to me but i have…

Wrong title on flight booking
Have just realised I've said I am "Master" rather than "Mrs" on a online flight booking with Flybe. Given that it's just a UK internal flight where no-one even looks at the boarding pass until boarding, I'm inclined to take the chance rather than call Flybe and risk being charged a fortune for a name change. Opinions…

Can you use Section75 if you forget to renew your childs passport
While we should have checked the passports - we didn't and we only noticed the night before when we were looking to check in on line that our daughters passport had run out. As a result we could not fly the next day. We did pay for the original holiday using our credit card so I am wondering whether or not we can use…

EasyJet - winter 2018/9
Flights on sale now. Earlier than usual and oddly only able to book my flights on the mobile app as the schedule on the desktop site didn’t display the calendar for 2019. Anyway, all sorted and having checked again half an hour after booking, price has already increased by 10%. Well worth the early morning wake up call!

Car hire firm insists fault with car means you pay twice!
I have used Interrent in Spain twice this year, and both times they have been very clear that if you don't pay for breakdown cover, and the car breaks down, not only will you pay for the call out, garage etc (which would be ok as I have annual insurance cover), but when you then need a car to replace the broken-down one,…

Goldcar bargain car hire, Spain
This post refers to the aggregator, Rhinocarhire. Doesn't mean I'm endorsing it, just that I've used Rhino several times for USA car rental and it's been fine, with discounts offered (particularly from Alamo) that have always been genuine. We're off to Spain in May, go there every year. Car hire's never been a problem:…

Euros to try and gain interest on
Hi All, Please be gentle with me....First time posting. I have sold a property in Spain and will have about €100,000 in my Banco Sabadell account. I am non resident in Spain, although I have a NIE number and pay taxes etc as due. I have never had any income generated in Spain and I pay the equivalent of £400 into this bank…

Hold baggage
I'm going to Italy: Out EasyJet, back BA. As I'll be away for three weeks I've paid for a hold item in each case. My question is: Can I voluntarily have my main cabin sized luggage (rucksack) placed in the hold, as there's no point in it taking up valuable space in the cabin? That would just leave me with my camera bag (27…
