Sainsburys WHD paid yesterday for core group.
As title thread says WHD was paid into my aunties account yesterday (£140) know this as i do all her online accounts for her. Good news for a lot of the core group as it was not paid till october last year. By the way it was Sainbury's Energy Price freeze November 2017 so will be on the look out for new deal soon.

Question about Western Power electricity wayleave
Hi All, I'm currently in talks with Western Power over the pole, stay and additional thick wire support taking up my whole front garden. They want to replace all the poles in my street for metal ones. I've objected to anything happening before a wayleave, deed of easement or complete removal of said pole happens. I…

Changing from Economy 7 to Standard Tariff
I would like some advice please. I have an Economy 7 meter and have been on an Economy 7 tariff for many years. But I don't have any storage heaters. I have a boiler and normal radiators. It only just dawned on me (yes I am an idiot) but this is actually not a helpful tariff for me. I work from home and have done for 7…

New E.ON tarrifs - Go Online and Clean Energy
Don't know how long they've been around but I just saw them when doing a quick check today: E.ON Go Online 1 Year v1 - Looks pretty good for a big 6 tariff. About £70 a year more expensive than my current Iresa deal, close enough that I'll probably switch to lock in the price for the whole of next winter (and get my smart…

KVA Capacity check for businesses
Good morning, I work for a company who keeps getting phone calls about a KVA capacity check for electricity meters, something to do with being fined and ofgem's requirements. I've spoken to our power supplier who say to ignore it, it's a ruse to get information from us but this company keeps calling and seem legit - anyone…

Smart meter after switch
I'm currently on the BG collective deal due to end in October and looking to save money by switching to a better deal but apprehensive because I understand will lose the functionality of the smart meter after the switch. Has anyone switched to another supplier and managed to keep the functionality? I was wondering if I…

ovo energy not giving back credit on account
hi there folks, my first post to the forum. I had a look for some similar threads to my problem (as I did not have to start a new thread if there was one already here) but alas I could not see any recent ones so here we are with a new thread. I just wanted advice on what to do about my previous energy supplier (ovo energy)…

Failed Brit Gas Credit Check - But It's 980 out of 999
My girlfriend and I moved into our flat about 4 months ago (first time buyers) and it has prepay meters. We moved from Spark to OVO as I was told by some w***er from moneyexpert dot com that they would change me over to a credit meter. Turns out they don't so I then swapped to British Gas as they said they would. Phoned up…

Ovo standing charges
Ovo's current 2 year fixed rate units (gas @ 2.66 pence per KWh and electricity @ 11.96 pence per KWh) may look good on paper but the standing charges for gas and electricity are 28.77 pence per day which I calculate to be £105 per annum. So dual fuel would cost £210 over one year. By comparison, British Gas dual fuel…

Toto Energy
Hi, I'm currently on a cheap AVRO Energy tarrif due to expire 20th October. I'm attempting to arrange my next tarrif so that it starts on 21st October. I've done a comparison and the Toto Energy tarriff 'TOTO Smart Meter Saver' comes out cheapest - just with a couple of querks. Firstly when I go to the Toto website and…

SP - Three Rate Meter
I moved into my flat 10 years ago and have been on SP all of this time. I have a three rate meter, which I understand to be for, heating, electricity day and electricity night. I don't have storage, its an electric combi-boiler that provides domestic hot water - and powers 'wet' radiator systems. My bills have recently…

Current house on electricity only - new house has gas as well
I'm currently on a fixed-term contract for my electricity, to end in October 2018. I have an Economy 7 meter. I'm moving house shortly, and the new property has both gas and electric (not Economy 7). I'm not sure what this means for my current electricity contract. If my new house had the same set-up, then I'd just get in…

Extra Energy The worst people to do business with
yet another customer pursued for an invoice that Extra Energy accept was paid, yet sent to CRS debt collection. Ten phone calls, numerous emails and over a month of harassment. Of course, you can't actually speak to anyone with a brain cell at the company (I wonder if the nominated executives actually exist). They just…

Spreadsheet to compare joint gas and electricity provider annual costs
I'm not sure the online comparison tools are totally accurate so I've produced a spreadsheet where you can put in your own annual consumption figures and the companies daily standing charges, unit charges and special discounts to get accurate comparisons. Hope it helps some of you too! When moneysavingexpert stops treating…
