Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 14 link to Standard prices?
...as an existing customer I have the option of switching to this capped rate. (2% below Standard rates). At the moment it is not linked too the newly increased Standard rate. My question is in the past have these capped rates increased if the Standard rate rises again? (I seem to recall an article on LoveMoney.com)…

Re: Scottish Power, final hit in the face...plse help :(
Hi There, I called SP a while ago re the price increase as soon as I heard. I asked the options and they said you can leave or switch to their capped tariff. Are fixed price deals value for money?
There's a lot of talk about fixing the price you pay for fuel for 2 to 3 years... is it worth it. An eon offer landed in my inbox - the fixed price until july 2013 is around 29% more than I pay now. Are prices likely to rise more than this in the next two years? Confused? I know I am.

This was news to me and my partner and neither of us had requested this transfer. I called N-Power and they told me they had received a request to…

Supplier switch, but wary of price rise -any ideas?
Hi, Wonder if anyone could assist me? Simply put, I'm on a standard dual fuel tariff with British gas for gas and electricity. Yesterday looked at u-switch where, having put last years consumption figures in, claims I could go to EDF on their online saver 12 dual fuel deal, claiming to save almost £400 per year. A good…

Npower to back bill or not to back bill
I've recently been sent a nice letter from Npower stating that my bill is higher than normal and I need to ring them to sort it. I rang them and I have a whopping £2600 gas bill (back dated from 2005). Apparently for the last 6 years I have been giving them incorrect 3 digit readings, when it should be 4/5 digit readings.…

Problems with E-on...can I just switch and leave them to sort it out?
Hi All, Here is my problem with E-on: In December 2010 I moved into my new build house. On moving in day I went round with the sales office person and we checked the serial numbers and took meter readings. These were forwarded onto the relevant suppliers (E-on for gas & elec, Severn Trent for water). About 2 weeks later I…

gas usage
I have just had a crazy gas bill from Npower saying I use 33361kw hours of gas a year, that's 91 per day. The cost of this is £1099! We live in a 3 bed house (only 2 of us), use a combi boiler, don't use the heating too much and only have gas hob (oven electric). When I questioned this with Npower, they said it was high…
