Not sure to go for E7 or Standard tariff?
Moving into a new property. Previous owner had property on E7 but i'm unsure why. The only heating is a coal fire with radiators and back boiler. Water is heated via an emmersion heater. The house at present is with powergen and they informed me that we would need to use 20% + of our electric during the 7 hours to benifit.…

New British Gas Charges?
Recently I got a letter from BG saying that they will start charging £5 for every missed payment... I pay by DD so shouldn't need to worry about this, but do other companies do this? It sounds a lot like the bank's illegal charges for being overdrawn? Josh

Up until April 2005 ish we were on a prepayment meter, not our fault, but we purchased the house with it in and never did anything to change it. In Feb / March time, enough was enough, fed up of going to collect cards and running out, etc. We…

Easywarm
Help! I am a 66 year old pensioner and would like to get on the Easywarm scheme. I have been in touch with SWALEC and understand the system is closed to over 50's but I believe from previous threads the system is still available to over 60's providing you live in Wales, is this so and how do I apply?:

switching question
How much does it cost gas/elec companies when we switch away from, or to, different suppliers? I've never switched before but was tempted to join BG Click Online in November 2006. Then they immediately upped their price and I've just switched to Ebico. I was only with them a fortnight. I know I have to stay with them for…

Scottish Power online energy saver 2
I switched to N power sign online a year ago (is that v4 or V5? - some comparison sites tell me V5, some tell me V4. I haven't got the bills with me to check). Anyway, at the time I felt a bit conned by the switch sites as they showed N Power as being a lot cheaper but it wasn't until I signed up that I realised that was…

when will Gas and Electricity prices drop?
Over the past couple of months the price of gas to the suppliers has dropped by about 75%. Because of the new pipeline from Norway. So why have the suppliers not passed this savings on to its customers? Surely the first to do so will be attracting customers from rivals, so it would be in their inetrest to do so.

How to get free Electricity ...
I'll not bore you with all the details, but just to say that for at least 9 months I've not had to pay for my electricity, due to a complete '!!!!-up' at Powergen. I had always had Electricity with Powergen and moved my Gas to them soon after moving into a new house in December 2004. Back in March 2006 Powergen eventually…
