Won DLA Appeal - they sent me another form!
Hi, After winning my DLA Appeal a gave them over a month and then phoned to chase my money. they were very apologetic and said that my claim had been input wrongly on the system, but that they would alter the system to reflect the tribunal judgment (I suspect that they were procrastinating since my backpayment would cover…

I am now receiving approx £160 per week (gross) from a disability pension from my former employers and also ESA (C) reduced by approx £37.50 per week (in line with the rules). I have been offered some temporary work (around £20 per week) and was wondering whether my ESA would be reduced further and using what formula ? If…

beaches
It's that time of year again when my family go off to the beach and I sit at home - it's about time I did something about it. Our local beaches are soft and sandy but there are pebbly ones. I really can't justify a special wheelchair as I can walk a short distance and family don't mind not going too far down the beach to…

LHA extra room rate
I read yesterday that if you have a non-resident carer who helps you and you are claiming LHA for help with your private sector rent, you can actually claim for an extra room. If you are on DLA Middle or Higher Rate care you don't even need to send in a doctor's letter, you can just claim it automatically. Is anyone doing…
