Want to settle DMP early. Any advice?
Hello. I'm currently 4 years into a DMP which was originally £21000. My current estimated balance is £8450. I may now be in a position to get help from family to get rid of this DMP. I was wondering if Payplan were to negotiate settlement figures, realistically how much would I be looking at paying? Could this be less than…

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of…

DMP needs to be renegotiated
Annoyingly, my DMP was all but set up in the last two week. Payments had been agreed with Virgin CC, MBNA CC, both my Barclaycards and Sainsbury’s loan and I was just waiting for my Barclay’s current account (overdraft) and Credit Union to come on board. Well, the credit union flat out refused to engage with the process,…

I never…
