bailiff refusing a pay by instalment offer! HELP!!!
I received a hand posted letter while i was in 4 days ago. The person made no attempt to knock on the door at all and it is my belief that they actually tried to silently slip it through without having to talk to me. I have a dog that sits by the door all day and barks at anyone that comes near it! The letter was from a…

A few years back, I really messed things up for myself by getting into a bit of debt (less than £4K) I'm now facing up to this debt and want to start repayments to see the end of this debt ASAP. Until recently, I would say 'I couldn't afford to pay it off'…

Spendaholic help!
Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie so please be nice! I'm looking for a little sharing of stories around being a true spendaholic if anyone is willing? I'm 32, married with over £20,000 of credit card debt. I have absolutely nothing to show for it, as it's simply been spent on month-to-month overspending. I know I've been doing it.…

A life after debt question - what % will you put away?
This is a theoretical question - I was wondering what people's opinions are, rather than looking for advice. Assume all your debts are paid off for this, because otherwise it brings up the interest on savings vs interest charged on debt issue. What will you do with your absolutely disposable income, after bills, food, etc…

Bit of back ground, my credit file isnt good, 2 stars out of five, as I have defaulted on credit cards over the years, kept paying them after speaking to them, and entered into payment plans which I have kept up to date. Now some of you may have read my other thread in these forums, and if you have I thank you for your…
