Thursday 23rd June - What small things...???!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

Is My DMP Now Working Against Me?
Hi guys Basically I've been on a DMP since Jan 2010, £4000+ at start, now £2600+ Started out by paying £50, then £100, then £111, now £476 a month. (1 June was first of these large payments) I was thrilled that I was able to make so many savings and whack such a huge amount each month off my debts - in fact it meant I'd be…

I've written 5 times now in last 12 months, 3 times remembering to take copies and special delivery, the other 2 letters are on my file with them they say when I…

remortgaging with debt
evening all I already know the answer but just thought i would check. We have our mortgage with NRAM, have a lot of debt, as well as a non secured loan with NRAM. Received a letter yesterday stating we no longer have a redemption penalty if we remortgage. This would be amazing as it would free up capital we can put towards…

Help please - Debt collectors and SAR?
Hi all, If you have a DCA chasing you for a mobile phone debt but want to send a SAR request to the network provider – can the DCA’s pursue you during the time you are waiting for a response or do you tell them it is in dispute? From what I understand the original creditor has a set period to reply to the request – what…

I have been paying £20 a month off since February on the below debt. My question is, should each individual month be showing as satisfied on my credit file or will it only show as satisfied when the debt has been paid off in full?

Whi is working longer hours just to overpay debt?
And just how much overtime? Since my pay is switching from hourly rate to price work im thinking of also maybe upping my hours when its appropriate weather to do so. I do 48 a week...looking at upping to 60 min a week to hit my target take home pay. That extra 12 hours a week will be another £1000 a month possibly.
