However, every month when my current account pays my credit card balance in FULL the 'current balance' on the CC isn't £0. Example: today…

Refused credit cards despite Experian score of 999
Hi all, I'm quite confused... I have had a Barclaycard in the past (as a student, built up a bit of debt and eventually paid it off). Since leaving studies around 8 years ago, I've had no use for a credit card and, as such, never applied for one. Recent circumstances have meant I may frequently need to fly back and forth…

Credit card money transfer
Hi. I am looking to borrow between 8 and 10k over 5 years. I have been given a money transfer deal of 4.9% of the full term of the outstanding balance on my credit card with no set up fee. Will this work in exactly the same way as a loan with an apr of 4.9%.? Or is the interest worked out differently? Will I pay the same…

Clarity Card Rewards replacement
Hi all, I used this card to get the £5 reward for spending £300 per month. I am keeping the card to use when abroad. However, with the removal of the reward, it is now pretty pointless for domestic use. I'm wondering what people with similar monthly expenses to mine use? It's usually below £300, however some work expenses…

Want to build up my credit rating, but credit cards confuse me
I want to start building up my credit rating (never been in debt, have a job, never had any direct debits, but still somehow have a bad credit rating), and a "bad credit" credit card is supposedly a good way to do it. However I have some questions: If I have no outstanding balance on a credit card, will I still have to…

Barclaycards issued before 1992
Hello I have been informed by Barclaycard, that my credit card account (£8750 limit) has not been registered with credit rating agencies because I opened my account before 1992 - I opened it in 1983. My Barclaycard is the only 'credit card' that I have ever owned. Clearscore etc are marking my credit rating down because I…

What's the best CC with 0% spending an highest credit limit?
Hello you lovely people, I would like to furnish a flat and would need to spend a lot of money at once. I would like to apply for a CC that would have no less than 6 months 0% payments but I would like to be able to borrow about £5000. When I checked the calculators here, I was eligible for different cards but wasn't able…

AMEX New Feature - Check Spending Power
For those with AMEX Charge Cards, they've added a new feature to online banking allowing you to check if a transaction will be approved (as there's no pre-set spending limit on the card). Apparently, I'm fine for a £5k transaction, but £10k not so much. :D

Timing of CC balance transfer
