can credit card companies put their rate up anytime?
ive had a letter from c card company saying rate is been increased from 26%apr to 29% apr thats awful? do they have the right to do that? my min payments vary between £300 £330 a month with the increase what would it be now?

When searching your credit references how much information can the agencies see? There is a lot of personal information kept on file(s), can they only see the first page or so or can they see all of it? (posting for friend not myself but all replies gratefully received) x

I have £10k on a Virgin Atlantic Amex currently at 29.9% :eek: If I pay off £5k and then do a £5k 0% BT to the card, will my subsequent payments go towards the £5k at the 0% or the original £5k at the 29.9%? Thanks
