housing benifit can i get a better place and pay the difference??
hi i was just woundering if im awarded housing benifit would i be able to get a flat or house that is more expensive than the benifit im awarded and myself pay the difference?? thanks nicola
DLA and Housing Benefit
I am in receipt of the lower mobility rate of DLA. Does this affect my HB in any way? The first person I spoke to said I would no longer be subject to the "under 25 rule" for HB. The next 2 people I spoke to said DLA only affects my HB if I am in receipt of the care component? Who, if any, is right? :confused:

Please tell me if I have this right. If you have worked for the best part of a year before falling ill and then lose your job and are single and have no kids, you dont qualify for income support and as such can only get incapacity benefit.
