Letter recieved for Bankruptcy

I am more then a little confused by this because there are TWO companies both asking for the SAME amount of money for the SAME account.... All this jargon from Debt collection agencies does my head in because I do not understand…

NatWest Current
I just wondered if anyone could give me some advice regarding bank charges I have. When I went BR one of my current accounts was a NatWest Advantage Gold account. I had an overdraft of £5000 on it. The account itself I kept in the black so when I did go BR it had a balance of £0. I had opened a Co-op account and…

Notifying OR of I/E changes
Hi I realise that the OR needs to be informed of any income changes within 21 days. Does that rule apply to outgoings increasing or decreasing too? I have managed to get my electric/gas dd reduced by £50 pm (still doesn't give us a surplus over £99). Im not sure if I need to ring OR up and ask for a new I/E form or can I…

Or has written to my Landlord
As the title says really. It was just a basic letter asking if I was/am in arrears and such. We have a verbal agreement and the OR just needs a letter confirming this. My LL is ok with this but is a bit concerned she is going to have to go to the OR to be interviewed? I doubt it myself but just thought I would check with…

Advice on being involved with someone else´s banruptcy
Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help in my dilema. A friend of mine lent me some money last year and I am now out of a job and unable to pay back the debt. She is now saying that she has to go bankrupt and therefore declare the loan as money owed to her. It was nothing formal, just friends helping each other out. What…

Why would people choose other options and not bankruptcy ?
I'm trying to reason why people would not go BR as opposed to another option. I know you lose your assets but if you had enough equity in a house, shares or car etc. then you would surely have used them to settle your debts. I read umpteen case here of people who are miserable and struggling to pay back sums which they…

Utility companies - do they do any checks or have minimum credit requirements ?
I was thinking about this following a comment made by a CCCS counsellor who suggested running up a bill with one supplier and then changing, just before BR and effectively dumping the debt into the BR. What I want to know is if debt or a bad credit score or BR can leave you with a supplier saying "no" they don't want your…
