Had a similar problem recently in the bathroom washbasin. Took the trap off and was expecting a deluge of water but nothing! Took a torch and shone it down the outlet pipe and could see a solid chunk…2 -

This may be a bit left-field, but have you thought about ear-plugs? Just those cheap foam ones often used by factory workers and the like. They cost peanuts, and being foam you barely even notice the…1 -
