I guess if costs spiral higher than expected it's always possible to work another month or two - easier to do it while still in a job than have to look for additional income afterwards.1 -

It doesn't save money but you get much better quality vegetables and of course fresher. A fruit tree will save buying fruit but only part of the year. If you grow your own you learn to eat stuff…1 -
