We were told that there is no need to wash wool duvet. The best way to clean it is to hang it over a line (whirligig in our case!) in the sun for an hour or so.7 -

I'll second that: some care homes, and some local authorities, can take forever and a day to assess who is liable to pay fees and work out how much is owed and by who. Also there may be a question a…1 -
