Pension is paid in arrears and 1 April is in the 2025 - 26 tax year. Plus your payment on 29 April will not be £965.20 (4 x £241.30) but £954.15 as the week commencing 6 April will still be at the ol…1 -

Do you have a bank account with spaces? That might work for putting money aside each week/month for pet items, bulk buys etc? Like a virtual envelope system. Otherwise it’s what works for you.1
