I have most of my radiators mounted back to back on internal walls (with decent double glazing, there is no need to put radiators under windows). Having the radiators back to back means just one drop…1 -

I find driving enjoyable. Far more than train travel. So it would always be the car for me unless there was a REALLY significant cost advantage. Take as much baggage as you like, combine other chores…2
