Thanks for all the comments re lavender. It is not clear in picture but there is at least 18 inches of brittle bare wood at centre of the large bush. I did cut them back last year which did not help.…16 -

@GrannyKate I agree with @Floss that cutting back lavender into any woody bits won't lead to regrowth - it just doesn't regenerate from old wood. Perhaps see how the pruning goes and how bi…13 -
