Car hire in Majorca without credit card

Can anyone recommend a car hire firm in Majorca that does not need to take a credit card (I don't have one)?:question:

    Car rental for cash in Europe these days is very rare, so instead of looking for a particular car hire firm you should be looking for a card to use. Even a prepaid card should work if there's enough loaded on it.

    We use this company and pay in advance by bank transfer (albeit using a Spanish bank account). There's no harm in emailing them and asking if they can help.

    Since they need to take or reserve the insurance excess at the time of rental, you'll be looking at a large cash sum in addition to the hire cost. Most agencies simply won't accept cash in lieu of a credit card swipe.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Best option is to look for a car. Most companies accept debit and even chargecards.

    Used my debit card a number of times in Ibiza airport.
