Opinions on this return label.

Hmm, isn't that spending yet more time and effort on someone you've never met to correct the lazy work of a company you probably wouldn't buy from...

Does your landlord know any previous tenants forwarding addresses?

Also, do the company care who they send their bumpf to, they are still hoping that the occupier whoever they are may be interested in their product.

You've done you're bit after 4 years, cant you just stick them in a red sack, at least recycled they would go to a good use.

Just some points/options to consider.

Don't even get me started on this, I am astounded at how many people do not update their insurances/vehicle registrations/electoral roll etc etc, lazy/clueless or whatever it is, I am heartily sick of it AND the endless phone calls for the same person too. Furthermore I am informed that a debt colector will be calling for the previous tenant, ooooh I can't wait, and this is supposed to be a good road/area. Some of this correspondence is for the owners too, who look down their nose at we mere tenants with a lower intellect as we do not own a property. AXE TO GRIND?.............YES

Mostly, they're from people owed money, or from the likes of the DVLA, sending VED renewal forms and, in one case, a V5C.

I suppose your return label message would work for the DVLA as it wouldn't make sense for the previous tenants/owner of the vehicle to deny living at the address. Although if I were a DCA I wouldn't necessarily believe your message not in the first instance. DCAs don't collect on debts by giving up that easily.

If the previous tenants could find/rent and run a flat, then organise a move why wouldn't they pass on their new address to any interested parties (which is one of the easiest things to do during the moving process). For various reasons they didn't want to pass on their details, even if they were slack, it still wouldn't take 4 years to get round to doing it, maybe they are waiting for the debts to be statue barred.

Send your return label message, but then don't spend any more time on it, (no more then it takes to put any future letters in a red recycle sack), as clearly the previous tenants haven't spent any time on the matter.
