Hello all. I just got mine for an overstay. £100 or £50 if paid promptly. Was thinking of paying to put it out of my mind or appeal but luckily did a bit of googeling first.
One link leads to another and I ended up here! Mine is exactly the same as the one on watchdog so that reassured me further.
I didn't have a window notice just a parking charge notice with photo's of the car sent in post 2 weeks later.
Will keep you informed.
thanks.

Good, glad to hear it. And you have read around it on here and seen the Watchdog clip as well. So you are well aware that it's a scam.
Now it's just a matter of playing snap with the letters as they arrive and match the pictures on a letter-chain shown on the top thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And make sure all your friends and family know about the scam! One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

I don't see why McDonalds are using these companies anyway to be honest. Its not like anyone has ever abused their carparks which are always full of boy racers. Would you leave your car there overnight? - I sure as hell wouldn't.0

I got my parking charge notice about a week ago and have avoided looking at it (hanging head in shame)... my time to pay is 1 dec or it goes up. i haven't seen the watchdog clip. is it easy to find? this is the first post i've found, so i'll keep looking, but any advice would be greatly appreciated!0

Parking Con Notice = Scam. Don't send them a penny.
If its a PENALTY Charge Notice and it has a council address then seek further advice but do not ignore it as it gets worse.0 -

Well, no news is good news. Not even a second letter so maybe they've fallen at the first hurdle?0
