CP Plus Ltd Parking Fine

Hi there,
I recently got a letter through the post from CP Plus Ltd with regards to me being parked at Donington Park Services for 3 hours. I was meeting up with friends and we were at our cars for the whole time, yet we still got fines. I never knew about the 2 hours business and we were looking around the cars and stuff.
I ignored the letter and just got another one through today saying about Final Notice etc, and its really worrying me as im a student so obviously i dont have any money at the moment.
What should i do?

1st make sure no post has a reference to who was driving, trolls from ppc's are on here. Then continue to ignore and do not contact them. To do so will just encourage them.
As for a student with no money, nothing new there.:-)I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
haha of course. I have seen that my name and address is on the letter and they said they got the details from the DVLA :S so that of course worried me a bit0
-
Yes, but they can only get the RK's name from dvla not the driver. MIL has a car which is used(legally) by 5 drivers.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
-
wow lol thats a lot of drivers on one car. Im going to ignore it as i have read other threads but i wanted to be sure. Why should you pay at a place when you need to rest or take a break? its ridiculious0

yes its Me, MIL, OH, DD, and brother in law. Let them sort that out if they can.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Raising an old thread on your first post? Alarm bells ringing here!
OP, DO NOT REPLY!!!!!! Just keep ignoring. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -

I am not the original poster but can tell you what happened - it's what always happens!
- Yes it worked, ignoring them works. It is NOT a fine.
- No he wouldn't have been daft enough to pay after coming on here. Only a mug would pay.
- What did they do? They sent the usual computerised threat letters. Then they did nothing.
I bet you have got a ticket from CP Plus in a Services or other car park? Then you might have got a letter or two? Everyone gets these letters. They have NOT singled you out. Here's the whole parking board view. All newbies should start here and read lots of threads:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163
Read the stickies, see the letter-chain including the C P Plus standard threatograms. Read the other stickies by Crabman, the 'read this before posting' one (if only people would!) tells you everything you need to know and gives you a link to Watchdog on the matter. Watch the link and laugh.
The Times has an article about ignoring PPC tickets, in TODAY's paper. The Guardian covered this last year (different company I expect but same advice, ignore it):
http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010...ivate-property
Now start ignoring the standard letters you will be getting this year. Just play snap as each matching threat arrives, as per our sticky thread of pictures.
And please read some more threads - there are thousands of more recent threads than this 2 year old one! You will soon find your eyes glazing over at the number of times you read the word 'IGNORE'!
NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
