Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if they know where i can buy one of those cakes with a photo on it, I would love to get one for my daughters birthday with her photo on but all the websites i have looked at are so expensive. I was wondering if they did them in any supermarkets?

Asda do them!!! The cake on its own costs about £8 and they charge for whatever you have on it on top. They look really good i'm getting one for my daughters birthday!0

Asda used to do them, ask at the bakery counter next time you go in.0

Asda for a tenner, done while you wait0

I think Tesco do them tooI haven't got one!0

A lot of Sainsbury's stores do them now in their bakery section, it's around a tenner including the photo etc0

Does anyone know if Asda still do these? Do I just take the photo in? or can I put it on a cd?
Any info would be great0 -
I don't know what the process is but I've seen people picking them up from my local Asda in the last week, so I think they're still doing them. Might be best to give your local store a call, I'm sure they'd be able to tell you what to do.0

I've had a few done at both tesco & asda. Each time I took the photo in, and they scanned it - I've never asked if they can do it from a disk.
Asda do larger cakes too, but they don't make the photo any larger, so there is a LOT more cake visible. I think the photo looks better on the smaller cake, & it's better to get 2 if you need more cake
Asda also do a chocolate iced version of their photo cake. Don't choose a photo with a lot of light colours on it for this as the chocolate shows through & looks awful.
It takes about 10 mins if they are not too busy.
The cake didn't taste too bad either0 -
I did one for my daughter's bday at Sainsbury. Under a tenner i believe and very quick..just bring the photo on a CD or USB key. Have fun!A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)
