I'm looking into lawfully not paying for my TV Licence, my partner and I do not usually watch live TV or iPlayer (netflix preferred), apart from occasional live sports which are usually pay per view.
I'm wondering if it's possible to purchase a TV Licence for 24 hours or possibly a week, as an annual subscription would mean a huge loss as these events aren't exactly regular.
Any help on this would be hugely appreciated

You need a licence for your 'occasional' live sports, whether PPV or not.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Easy. Book into a hotel, and watch it on their TV ; or go round to a friend's house - and buy the takeaways.0
