Gosh that sounds like a hectic but fun weekend. The trip to Equador sounds very exciting, South America is definitely on our list of places to visit and I look forward to hearing all about your trip.
Hope you have a restful day today : )0 -

What a pain about the flight, but the mud run sounds awesome, if a little dirty!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Hey folks it's been a few days since I posted: spent the early part of the week up north with work so had an expenses paid dinner out (Nandos again!) and lots of gym usage whilst it was in the hotel!
Refund has now been received for the flights (difference of £18 though I believe due to exchange rate etc), but gf has had a spanner thrown in the works as her brother wants the car she uses back....so an expensive service & Mot this month (£750) is using all her quarterly bonus up, and then she'll look at whether to get another car....so holding off on rebooking the flights until we know the financial impact
All quite disappointing but sensible I guess! More exciting news is we pick up Hugo & Oscar tomorrow afternoon! We've been shopping around places for the stuff needed (bowls, litter trays, collars etc) so think we're pretty sorted cannot wait to see their fluffy faces tomorrow :lovethou
eBay sales netted £46 after postage which isn't too shabby so will pack it all up this morning and drop it at the drop off point. Transferred £35 to the joint bills account to ensure we didn't get overdrawn from the kitten spending, £5 across to mortgage as a nominal OP whilst we're in a bit of a transitional financial position.
