Cash ISA to Current Account

Options
Hi there,

Don't know if this is something that's been asked before, but it seems like something really difficult to search for!

I'm a bit green on all details and bank stuff if I'm totally honest, so I might be asking something really stupid!

My girlfriend currently has 2 separate accounts, one current account at one bank (Bank A) and a Cash ISA at another (Bank B).

So, she's been saving money for a while and wants to transfer a significant amount from her ISA to her current account.

However, when she enters Bank B and asks to for this money to be transferred to her account at Bank A, they tell her she can only withdraw the money as cash and can't transfer it to her other account - meaning to transfer it all, she'd have to be walking from one bank to another with a huge load of cash just to put it into her current account.

Hope that all makes sense....

Seems a bit illogical to me... or is this something normal?

Would be helpful just to get a bit of a clearer view on things!
