You might want to check your hotel booking is valid if you have booked with this company. Best to find out before you arrive at the hotel.

Definitely do so, there are reports of people travelling last week who were turned away at hotels because Bookable had cancelled the bookings without telling them. Those with long memories will remember that Bookable had a large number of bookings with Goldtrail Holidays which specialised in Turkey and went bust 3 or 4 years ago. Bookable decided they would make a profit by charging everyone £40 per person to make claims against Goldtrail's bond, eventually complaints to ABTA resulted in a fine for breaching their code of conduct. The owner claimed yesterday that he was hounded by no win no fee solicitors, they usually act where they think there is a valid claim since they don't want to follow Bookable into administration. They are certain however that it wasn't there own fault.......0

I booked accommodation with Bookable for Tenerife in Feb 2015, the paperwork for the booking came through from Lowcostbeds. Bookable had acted as an agent for lowcostbeds
Paid with my Halifax debit card

1 Contact the hotel direct.
2 Contact Low cost beds.
3. Use a credit card for any holiday site that does not have an A1 credit rating.0 -
Spoke to Lowcost today, they said they have not received any money from Bookable for this holiday
Next stop Abta on Monday???Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

If they tell you to contact your bank you are at the mercy of Halifax as to whether they refund you.
You could try to claim on your travel insurance.0 -
Halifax have told me contact Abta, aren't they responsible for Bookable, they belong to Abta.
Whole thing sickens me

If Halifax don't refund then you join the queue at the back of the creditors list.
Who exactly took funds from your account? Try a chargeback for services not received but don't hold your breath.
Why should it sicken you? You had the choice of paying by credit card and getting suitable cover through travel insurance.0 -
I do have travel insurance,,,
At the moment my head is full of Bookable, Abta, Halifax Debit Card payment, and lowcostholidays
Is your opinion just claim through my Ultimate Rewards Travel Insurance???Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Go to ABTA's home page and follow the instructions, ABTA is responsible if your booking is for accommodation only, the CAA is responsible if you booked flights at the same time and have an ATOL Certificate0
