    Everyone seems to be doing so well whereas I seem to have ground to a stand-still thanks to this illness - hoping the steroids kick in soon and I cant start to do a bit more.

    I also have a confession to make - I impulse buy candles when they are on offer. I must stop buying them as they have taken over a whole kitchen cupboard. I burn lots of tea lights and love the low glow they give out but I have lots of large church style ones that have never been lit. I also burn those scented ones in the kitchen after I've made a curry but I have so many beautiful ones that are too pretty to light. I've got to stop hoarding and use them!

    Why dont you decorate some of the large pillar candles (either with pins/transfers/ribbon) and give them as gifts if you can bear to

    hi everyone

    i spent a very successful hour in the garage and can report:

    old computer keyboard - tip;
    cardboard - recycling;
    6 various random practically empty tins of cleaning stuff and shoe polish;
    15 items to the charity shop

    Ditch 100 in May 37/100

    hope everyone is having a good weekend

    I agree. With my "slim into" clothes I figure if I do lose enough, and it is coming off now, I'll want to treat myself to new!

    :D They're classics and there are only 5 items. And they're Per Una and I really like them. Haven't had them years, bought them in the last 1-2 years just porked it on a bit in the past few months. All my clothes fit on a 3 foot rail (with empty space) and in a 5 drawer chest-of-drawers so not exactly bursting at the seams.:D

    I have 6 drawers and 1 is just underwear.. I stocked up on socks last winter as I go through them at an alarming rate. I have a case of stuff that didn't fit since having Squeak which I need to drag out of the wardrobe and sort through.. 3 years later I probably won't wear most of it anyway!

    ARGH... that just added something else to my 'today to-do list'

    I have a black velvet per una coat going on ebay shortly..

    Some great achievements posted so far this weekend so must keep up

    The 3 items did go to the tip (sorry recycling centre as it is now called) yesterday
    I spent most of the afternoon listing items on EB but I won't count anything until sold and mailed
    I did declutter the hall table - a lot of things just needed to be put away where they belong but am counting the following
    26 - assorted flyers into recycling (where they should have gone in the first place)
    27 - small ceramic plaque hung on the wall where it was intended
    28 - while I had the picture hanging kit out I framed a stitching in a frame that was in the bedroom heap and then hung it on the wall
    29 - hung another already framed picture

    30 - while making dinner noticed how horrible one of the chopping boards looked and remembering that I had a set of coloured coding ones I decluttered the new ones from the kitchen cupboard (which needs a good sorting out) and they are now in use
    So 30/100 so far

    The more I look the more I see but I am determined not to be put off by the size of the task (the longest journey etc..) Being able to post my small achievements here does help - thank you :T

    Hi all,
    Been a quiet week decluttering wise here. Did recycle 4 mags that were lying around waiting for a rainy day. Still haven't got around to putting anything on eBay. Am out later and going away tomorrow so will be a job I think for next weekend. Still brings me up to 36/100. OH is also off this coming week so will hopefully get him to depart with some junk too :)
    Hope everyone is having a good weekend despite the miserable weather
