I've been Money Tipped!
edited 29 November 2017 at 1:34PM in Debt-free wannabe challenges
I'm thinking of challenges in 2018, and have come up with the following:

Save £10 per week for Christmas 2018, starting 22/12/17.

Use cash where possible for purchases so I can put change into my SPC pot. I am going to aim for all food shopping to be paid for in cash, and keep receipts.

Tomorrow I am going to get some paper and write down the above.

That's all for now!

    Hi zippy,

Glad I'm not the only one who needs to take charge of their money - i feel like money, or lack of it, rules my life and it needs to change!

Could you rename this thread? Unsure if its possible but would save starting a fresh one.

We've done this for many years and once you've done it you'll never look back.
    It's so much easier.
We do ours from October to October and it's wonderful knowing that the money is there.

Done the same with food shopping too.
Each week I cash £50-60 and do my weekly shop on a Friday. Also have £10 in my purse for any incidentals like milk bread or rolls etc and once it's gone that's it!! Very often I find I'm left with £5 from my 'purse'money and then each Thursday evening I empty my purse, small coins in a jar and notes and £1 coins in a separate tin. It soon adds up.

    Good,luck
