Water rates of £320 a year, or meter?

Options
2 of us live in our house, in Essex and have been offered a water meter. We never wash the cars or water the grass, and only have showers every day, we pay £320 a year rates, would it be cheaper to switch to a meter, as they want to fit one to our property?

Thanks in advance

We are also two in the house and both in our old property and our new one the cost using a meter is significantly cheaper than it was before via rateable value.

Yes, because you then have two years in which to switch back to RV billing if no saving. It's a no-brainer.
