Haha! Sadly no. He moved house and schools and I never saw him again. Perhaps I should look him up on Facebook!

I am genuinely a bit baffled by your reaction. My daughter is 5 years old and has told me that she holds hands with a boy in her class. I said jokingly "is he your boyfriend?" to which she said no, that was someone else. I just thought it was quite cute. The next day this "boyfriend" wasn't speaking to her anymore! I think the worse thing you can do is make an issue off it. 6 year olds have no real concept of love in this context so I wouldn't get so worked up. Just remember it for when you want to embarrass her when she's in her teens!

    OP, please stop trolling.

You're putting your own MH issues onto your child.

my 4 year old daughter regularly informs us that she is going to marry Dexter who is in her class.

    I'm not overly concerned....

I'm sorry but i think you have totally over-reacted. All kids do this. By they end of infant school I think I was married 8 or 9 times to the boy I 'loved' at the time. As far as I am aware, it has had no adverse affect on me...just given my parents' ammunition for teasing at family parties and the like.

So long as the spelling is correct at 6, you can allow her some social correspondence.
As for the moral aspect, I'd just chuckle this year. Fact check from 9 on, panic around puberty & just go grey peacefully thereafter.

Call her down for a hug & icecream. You will look back & laugh, promise!

She's 6. The title of your post says it all. If you're worried now, i'd put her up for adoption before she hits her teens. :D

Read the thread from the beginning . . . the daughter was 1 yr old then.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3277790
    That figures ... 1 year old in 2011, born 2010, it's now 2016 so she'd be 6 years old or thereabouts ...

I'd like to know if the OP succeeded in fleecing her husband ;)
