Hi Guys
We just moved into a new house and the bottom oven(larger one) doesn't work, the lady selling the house did say about this.
We noticed that what we thought was the grill(top small one) is a oven as well, we cooked lasagne and chips in this yesterday and it took ages!
The oven is electric and the 5 hobs on the top of the unit are gas, we are happy with the hobs but looking at double ovens or if we can replace the double oven with just 1 bigger oven as cooking roast dinners etc is going be harder to do.
we have seen argos have some for around £250 which is cheaper compared with currys at about £500 ish, there is nothing about fitting ovens and unsure if this is a big job to take out and replace?
thanks

Its usually something fairly simple that prevents an oven working.
Get you make & model number together & get on Google or YouTube.
Of course don't forget to isolate the electric supply before you start poking about !!0 -
Thanks, got a little issue as there is no brand on the oven and looking online I cant see any that look the same lol, there is no manual as already in this house. again when we went the previous owner mentioned about part not working but its the main big oven.
Looking on currys we have seen one for £220 and £250 as well as Tesco direct, currys say £90 to fit but if its very simple then we would do our selves, just unsure with it being fitted.
Also keeping the gas as works great and has the 5 hobs.0 -
Post a picture on here & somebody will be able to identify the oven.
The make, model & serial number might be on the inside edge of the oven door0 -
thanks, was going to but when I click on the picture it says enter URL address?

Its not a big job to take out, but they are heavy and you need to make sure any wires you use can take the loading.
I would pay an expert for peace of mind. If you get it wrong, it can have really dire consequences.0 -
