One it said was 'water damaged' but that book was brand new, signed, in pristine condition! Some of the rejected books I can accept I didn't check so may have been (they seemed fine to me) but I don't know what happened.
I dropped them off at a drop off point and to be fair it was raining that day but there was not a single spot of obvious water on the parcels.
I don't know what happened and I'm worried they got damaged at the drop off point, or in transit but I have no way of proving it.
I am quite upset as in a perfect world I wouldn't have sold any of my books, it's just that they are all I have available as a selling resource.
It might be worth just emailing them to ask for further info. It has been raining so hard lately you do wonder whether the parcel got damaged en route.
I always wrap books in plastic bags before I pack them up. I got a big roll of bags from the pound shop and I put a few books in each bag and tie up the end.0 -
I've been being a lurker just stepping out to say Thank you Aesop for the Circle advice I've now signed up, I also used your referral link for PA x0

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, well, since Wednesday anyway which seems like forever to me:o. Massive family problems so probably won't be on here much this month.
I'll still be trying to make money as and when I can but I don't expect it will be much as I'm very time poor at the moment:(
I'm sure you've all been doing really well on the moneymaking front:T but I'm sorry I haven't had any time to read back all the posts I've missed since Wednesday.
I hope I'll be able to drop in again before too long. Take care, everyone and good luck with your moneymaking:beer:0 -
Hi everyone, I have a question.
I'll be doing my self employed taxes soon and I assume that I will have to declare any paypal/cash/cheque/bank transfer money I've made through things like survey sites, but what about ebay/we buy books/facebook?
Also I have mobile phone apps that payout in things like amazon vouchers, and I do shop and scan, do I have to declare them? I just wasn't sure because they are vouchers, not cash.
Luckily I have a full record of all of this so it won't be too long to trawl through the last year and see what I earned.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
Debt Free Stage 2 - Completed 50/181 Payments0 -

with ebay If you buy to sell, you have to declare in your self assessment.
I think anything that you own that you sell is not declarable. Anything bought to sell is.
With the vouchers, people have asked hmrc before and it was a grey area. I think as paid in vouchers they said not but cash yes.0 -
