    I get paid tomorrow woohoo

    Get to pay a few debts.

    Just done another money transfer on the MBNA card to pay off DH interest accruing credit card. Will also pay off Littlewoods so that I don't pay any interest on that.

    Watched a few clips of David Ramsey on YouTube. Confirmed my debt tackling method re. Snowballing. I'm tackling debt accruing interest first which just so happens to be the smaller debt amounts.

    Need to think about an emergency fund. I made a start but only have £20 in there. Whenever I get spare cash I'm going to split it between debt payment and emergency fund savings.

    Very happy with that so far. Money transfer has also been completed so I've removed DH's CC and added the money transfer amount to the MBNA CC

    Cleared the balance on the Littlewoods account too

    Loan payments will come out Monday and just need to wait for when CC payments are due to pay them.

    Coming along nicely :)

    Good luck it will be worth it.

    Funny how women tend to get the blame for being big spenders in my experience it is at least as common for men to be big spenders. Having got to end of bringing up children I now see why it is important to be careful as this stage - university, grandchildren, travelling overseas to visit etc costs a lot.

    Tried to do a couple of surveys last night. Screened out of most so only earned £1.25. Going to keep my tablet charged and make it a before bed ritual to get some done.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Made enquiries on Saturday to book a slot for the car boot at the end of the month, the person I spoke to see,med to think it was fully booked. Gutted if it is. Need to make a phone call today. I have loads of items to sell and hate all the fees Ebay brings with it. Also Facebook selling doesn't appeal to me for some reason.
    Becoming a tad obsessed with reading everyone's DFW diaries. .. I may not post on them often but I'm reading them A LOT. keeps me motivated. Thank you
    Quick update.
    Another little payment made towards the Next account. £2.30.
    I usually pay for parking on a Monday at £4.60. Managed to find a free parking space. I've therefore split this saving. Half to a debt and half to my emergency fund. will provide a fuller update later and update signature too.
    Evening,
    Well all the positivity had to come to end at some point.
    DH car is definitely not right. He reckons it's gonna cost in the region of £600 to fix. It needs doing ASAP. Can't not do it, he needs it for work. The alternative to get to work was his motorbike. Which was stolen about 6 weeks ago. No substantial amount in the emergency fund. So it's the dreaded CC which will have to pay. Could cry.
    The insurance company for the motorbike are dragging their heels on paying out and asking all manner of irrelevant information. However that's potentially £3000 if paid out. I'm working on the assumption that won't be coming any time soon though :(
    Had to bite my tongue with DH as had he not wasted £100s in recent weeks we'd actually have the funds to sort it out. His face today showed me that he realises this and I'm satisfied he's had his LBM
    Nightmare! Cars are a total pain; can live with them, can't live without. Keeping everything crossed for insurance pay out on the motorbike
