    please, please, please can anyone help??! I have a Philips 201 (C) car radio in my Vauxhal Corsa, I've just had a new alternator and battery fitted and now my radio needs an unlock code. I bought the car second hand and it doesn't have any radio code with it.

    I've managed to remove it and GM0201R1315495 is stamped on the side. I tried putting this into an online code checker and it gave me 0866 but that didn't work and now I'm £8.99 out of pocket and the radio still doesn't work.

    Did I put the worng number in? Can anyone help - I'm going slowly mad on the commute to work singing to myself!!]

    I have just changed the battery in my wife's 1999 Peugeot 306 and the radio (original peugeot one) asks for the code.
    As she bought the car second hand, we don't know the code.
    What information would i need for someone to be able to work it out?

    not to worry, was reading through the manual and there was a 4 digit number written in pencil.
    tried it and it worked!
