So looks like they just did a cut and paste from the first (genuine) site.

Their privacy policy has something about Clubcard too - a cut and paste from Tesco site?

So webhost is Mchost.ru not Magento

Yep, the terms and conditions are lifted straight from Tesco.

  • I also purchased a TV from this site.. (luckily, registered using a new new password).. The price of the TV was about £80 cheaper than anywhere else. There were 2 payment options, Paypal and Cash on Delivery. I opted for Paypal as there is some fraud security but the option did not allow the order to be placed so went for Cash on delivery.
Next day the order was cancelled as there were some issues with Paypal and I got an email requesting the order be repeated using Paypal... Alarm bells should have rung but I continued with my purchase... Paypal then accepted.
Next day, the TV was on offer for a further £50 cheaper so I emailed to see if the difference could be refunded as the price had been reduced..
They refunded the entire amount to my Paypal account so either I've been quite lucky or this is a recent startup with some teething issues..
Undecided as the billing details on Paypal were to a company called Baltic Dredging Aps............??

I think you got very lucky there...... I'd suspect they offer 'cash on delivery' to give the impression of a no risk purchase but dare say everyone that chooses this option then has to use PayPal due to 'some unexpected issue'

And if all the other info wasn't dodgy enough, the PayPal goes to Baltic Dredging Aps!?!?!?! my goodness people wake up and smell the coffee!!!:D

No one in their right mind should ever be paying money to a company that you've never heard of without doing so due diligence...... and if you insist on doing so then use a credit card that offers fraud protection.

As always - if something is seriously cheap and 'too good to be true' then use your instincts and walk away

Never trust information given by strangers on internet forums
  • Well thanks people, nearly got caught with this one myself, until I see bank transfer to a private individual so done a Google and found this thread...
  • Many many thanks. Like another user I was about to buy a tumble dryer from Frold but thought I would just like to see if they had any others - lo and behold this site came up and mighty glad I am it did before losing my hard-earned cash. It's true what they say - if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. Still who doesn't like a bargain these days?
  • HI, just registered on here to let people know about my experience of this. i purchased a camera lens (not TOO far off retail price, but enough to be tempted) then afterward i read this thread. i had paid through paypal and opened a dispute straight away. that was yesterday, the money has now been transferred back into my account! so anyone that paid by paypal, get on it!!

    thanks!!
