What's this nonsense about Ryanair only agree to rebook on other carriers if the cost doesn't exceed three times the price? There's no basis for that in law, and unfortunately it's inevitable that a journey booked early, and then cancelled late in favour of a different last minute flight, is going to be way more expensive. Lesson for Ryanair is don't systematically cancel so many flights - it'll cost yer!0

Actually,Ryanair, in this case, are correct since the passeneger has had more than 14 days notice? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Re-routing appears to be an absolute right and something airlines can't really understand.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Really? I must have mis-read/misinterrpreted the regulation.
The rest of the airline industry in the EU must be thanking Ryanair for this significant confirmation by the CAA, in the same way Jet2 helped them by going to Court of Appeal, twice
How many times have we seen cases in the past where airlines have not flfilled their obligations? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I was just told they cannot re-book me on non Ryanair flight (and the 3x original ticket nonsense) - I need to book myself and submit compesation claim - this does not seem to be in line with the 're-accommodation' instructions provided in that Ryanair letter in the article?
I was sure they were required to re-book me rather than fend me off to do all that myself? (just to clarify, I am happy to do it myself if this is really the case but it does not seem to fit in my definition of 'the carrier needs to make arrangements to accommodate you on another flight if you still need to fly' and I see a looong battle as the cancelled flight was 19.99, not much under 60 tickets showing on kayak for that route...)0 -
Contact CAA and let themknow the Ryanair are NOT complying with explicit directions from CAA.
If you paid by credit card you could also make a claim under Section 75 as Ryainair are in breach of contract/law.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
