Hello,
As explained in the title, we are booking a holiday in a few months time, it has to be paid all in one payment, but I need to use my credit card to fund my portion of the bill.
I have toyed with various ideas such as sending it as a personal payment via PayPal or even withdrawing the cash  but I am sure there must be a better solution as I know I will get charged interest using both these methods.
Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
Fyi, the holiday will be over $1000 each
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Are you in the US? May not make a difference, but US cards may offer additional facilities not available over here.
A money transfer option wold probably be cheapest, if you're in the UK.
Otherwise, pay for things for the other party as they come up, to the value of the holiday. But this may take some time and be messy.0 -
I am based in the UK but the holiday needs to be paid in dollars.
Thanks for your advice I will look up this option.0 -
Are you not able to just pay using the holiday companies card terminal?0

Just curious what holiday company requires you to pay in dollars when your based in ukMortgage free wannabe
Actual mortgage stating amount £75,150
Overpayment start date 1/3/23.
Starting balance £66,565.45
Current balance £63,787.160 -
That company would be WWE. And you can only pay online.0

Giving the OP the benefit of the doubt and assuming this 'holiday' is in fact a hotel booking in a country where the local currency is USD and the OP wishes to pay the hotel directly in advance, surely it is possible to pay them directly by credit card?
If this hotel does not accept credit cards are you sure you actually want to stay there? Would recommend against sending them anything by PayPal simply because no reputable hotel (or tour operator) would expect to be paid this way.
As you say that you will be booking the holiday in a few months time, if you haven't booked it yet could you not book it through somebody in the UK?0 -

What a surprise, people are asking this question ??.
Is it not the case that most companies will charge you in local currency ??
If you could pay in GBP while in the UK it does not mean they do not charge you in local currency it is just the case that payment processing company has converted it for you.0 -
The wrestling folk, I imagine.
Sounds like the OP is between The Rock and a hard place.0
