Thanks - any chance of a link to this info ?Their is a new Swift out soon with a "bigger boot"
Targeting the new Ford Fiesta, which is also due to go on sale in summer, the third-generation Swift will be built on the larger Baleno platform. The new car is actually slightly shorter than the old one, but extra length in the wheelbase boosts cabin space by 25 per cent and boot space by around the same percentage to a new figure of 254 litres.
I like the swift and would prefer to stick with them....I am now on my third swift0 -

Thanks - looks almost too good to be true
But the boosterjet engine does not go with the hybrid technology, as stated in the link- it goes with hthe 1.2 conventional engine !0 -
It must be able to achieve an average of at least 40mpg

Oh sorry, you said new
Crazy though isn't it? We think cars are more economical now, but this little beasty used to make 45mpg back in the 1980's, and those were real figures, not something cooked up in a zero G lab environment.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

New (2017) Suzuki Swift - tested by Honest John
https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/suzuki/suzuki-swift-10-boosterjet-automatic-2017-road-test/?
It appears to beat all of the opposition - including the Fiesta
I want one (and will order one as soon as they are available in UK)0 -
I am looking for a new car to replace a 3 year old Suzuki Swift
It must be an Automatic (either Torque Converter or DSG type)
It must be able to achieve an average of at least 40mpg
It must be petrol
And it must cost less than £17k
It must have a decent sized boot - unlike my Swift (to take a mobility scooter)
The only one that I can come up with is a new Suzuki Baleno !!
You think that this is a decent boot?
