I'd trust this article a lot more if it didn't use Virgin as a comparison.
We don't (and have never had) cable in the local area, and it's a suburb of a suburb of Manchester, not exactly the middle of nowhere. At least BT invested in us.
So our choice is limited to BT resellers and you know what, most of them are garbage. Broadband isn't like gas, you can't just swap supplier and get the same service under a different name.

Haven't read the article ...but I've had free b/band for the last 24 months...and even if I pay full price from June onwards it'll only be £120 per year:rotfl:-which ain't happening!!
With line rental I don't expect to pay more than £250 per year in total0
