The forum is called Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.0 -
Exactly; people have problems with council tickets too, and a 10-min council ruling might set a precedent in private parking world instead of "reasonable".0

As a quid pro quo, perhaps we now need zero tolerance to illegal parking, parking in bike lanes, etc.?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
What about some kind of reverse Uber, let's call it Unter.
With Uber, you call for a minicab/taxi, as we all know.
What if I book a driver to drive MY CAR?
Obviously everyone involved has SatNav, mobile phone etc.
The Unter website needs to offer some driver vetting and insurance against theft etc. Ideally, the cars should have some kind of Tracker fitted.
There can be several modes of operation.
Mode 1
______
I just need to park for 30 minutes or so, for a chiropractor appointment, which can be 30 to 75 minutes. When I set off, I use the Unter App to book a driver to meet me somewhere, which probably involves me picking him up along the way. We drive to the chiropractor, the driver drives off, making use of short term free parking (e.g. McDonalds) where possible. When my appointment is about to end, I signal using the Unter App, and the driver comes back to pick me up. I then drop him off. We both signal the hire is finished, maybe do a quick survey of how it went. Record milage?
Mode 2
______
A booking of several hours, and I simply need a chauffeur, who may be needed to help with some lifting. It's a variation on "man with a Van".
Mode 3
______
I go somewhere sober, with a car, but end up blank drunk.
Need somebody sober to get me and the car home, and NOT ROB ME.
Obviously there's need for women drivers for women customers etc. Hmm, if I refuse a Lesbian driver, is that sexist or homophobic?0 -
Mode 3 exists, you can get bike drivers that'll come and drive your car home.0
